The way we were…. Art Inspired by Nostalgia

Opening Reception Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 5 – 7 pm

Nostalgia

Once the holidays are over we’ll be gearing up for our next Gallery refresh.  We’ve put out a call to our Gallery artists for new artwork with a specific subject.   To kick off the new year we’ll be taking a look back with fine artwork and subject matter that warms our hearts and brings back memories of our younger selves. We are calling this “The Way We Were…” Art inspired by Nostalgia. This show has everything to do with the past and things that make us nostalgic…a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.

We welcome you to join us on Thursday, January 11 from 5 – 7:00 pm for our opening reception at the Gallery.  We’ll have light refreshments available as you take the time to look around at the gallery and enjoy all the fine artwork.  All pieces will be for sale!

“Wash Day” – the painting above by Dana Thompson, is a watercolor of a woman hanging out clothes on a beautiful sunny day.  You can almost smell the sun-dried clothes and fresh linen.
