Lake Country Juried Art Show:
This year we had 47 artists submit 122 pieces. 96 pieces were accepted into the show and each of the 47 artists had at least one piece accepted.
Thank you to everyone that joined us for the opening weekend of events at Barrel 118! The show has now moved to The Gallery and will be for sale and on display through early June.
Past Summary of Events at Barrel 118:
Thursday, May 11
OPENING RECEPTION | 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Opening night of the Lake Country Juried Art Show was held at a fantastic location in Downtown Eatonton. Barrel 118 is located at 118 N. Jefferson Avenue. Light refreshments were available with complimentary wine and a cash bar.
Friday, May 12
Retail Hours | 11 am – 5 pm
The show will be on display and for sale at Barrel 118. The Gallery will also be open during normal hours.
Wine Tasting Event at Barrel 118 | 6 pm – 10 pm
This ticketed event at Barrel 118 was held in partnership with The Oconee Cellar.
Saturday, May 13
Retail Hours | 10 am – 5 pm
The show will be on display and for sale at Barrel 118. Artist demonstrations taking place. The Gallery will also be open regular Saturday hours 10:00 – 3:00.
Artist Talk Event | 3 pm – 5 pm
Local artists Cathy McIntire and Debbie Anderson lead an interesting discussion about what to look for when buying art, including how to start a collection, original art vs. prints, framing, and galleries.
JUROR/JUDGE: Lauren Adams
Lauren Adams is a Southern artist based in Atlanta who has concentrated on painting and drawing most of her life. Her work runs the gamut from contemporary realism and landscape to abstract painting. Lauren holds a BFA in illustration and MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design. She owned a successful decorative painting business for fifteen years. Her work is included in public and private collections throughout the Southeast, including the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and the Historical Society of Sandersville.
