Eatonton Sculpture Trail
ART FOR EVERYONE, EVERYDAY.
A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE ARTISANS VILLAGE AND THE EATONTON-PUTNAM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Eatonton Sculpture Trail has a mission to bring a curated display of public art to the community as a way to enhance the visitor experience, showcase the Arts & Entertainment district, support the growing economic climate, and share the artistic passion of Eatonton-Putnam County.
The 2025-2026 Eatonton Sculpture Trail pieces of artwork have arrived!
We started with 10 sculptures and will now grow the trail to 13 in the second year! After years of planning, the Eatonton Sculpture Trail began in 2024. Ten sculptures were selected and shipped to Eatonton from several different states from all over the US. “The Professor” and “Catching the Wind” were the first to arrive back in February of 2024. The majority of the pieces arrived and were placed in June of 2024. Each year, the Sculpture trail will change slightly. New sculptures will rotate in and some will roate out…but if they are purchased, they will become a permanent addition to the trail.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD
We need your vote! The public is invited and encouraged to vote for their favorite sculpture. The sculpture that receives the most votes is honored with the “People’s Choice Award.” Online voting will be available soon!
SCULPTURES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!
Did you know you can buy a sculpture for your home, business or as a permanent addition to the Eatonton Sculpture Trail? Add a touch of creativity and sophistication to enhance your property, office space, gardens, or the downtown retail area. SPECIAL THANKS TO LOCAL BUSINESSES AND VOLUNTEERS
A lot of work went into the planning, design, and installation for this first year of the Eatonton Sculpture Trail. We would like to acknowledge and offer a sincere thank you to these businesses and individuals for their help with coordination, collaboration and donations of materials, time, and efforts needed to build the bases for the artists’ sculptures.
- Alan Chase – Built all of the forms for the concrete that will support the sculptures. Alan was a self-employed carpenter and contractor for 17 years prior to moving here from New Hampshire. He and his wife now live on Madison Ave in downtown, Eatonton.
- Brian Danson – Not only added a sculpture to the trail, (With Swift Ferocity – located at the Veterans Wall of Honor) but also assisted in moving many of the pieces and welding each to their base.
- Chuck Anthony – Designed the molds for the bases and engineered a way to make sure the heavy structures could be strapped and lifted into place. His company, Anthony’s Stucco, is located at 4980 Carey Station Rd ste. b, Greensboro. (706) 817-2269
- Fowler Flemister Concrete – Supplied the concrete needed for the sculpture bases in this project. Visit their website >
- Sara Tomson-Hooper – For her committment to this vision and the passion to make it happen. This idea for the Eatonton Sculpture Trail was seven years in the making!
- Those sculptures are HEAVY! Craig Tubacki, Tom Gardner, Brian Danson, Will Deller, Dan Waggoner, Justin Strickland, Doug Romine, and probably a few others… all helped lend a hand and some muscles to get the sculptures on display.
