In similar fashion to the Dual Vision theme….she selects a famous artwork and looks at all aspects of the piece for inspiration.
*Craft Cocktail prices $11+ | beer & wine available for purchase.
Plus enjoy more artwork with painting demos!
THREE of our artists will be on site painting for us and sharing their talent as well. Join us to watch and chat with Barbara Lewis, Susan Edwards, and Cathy McIntire as they create in three different mediums.
One Dual Vision Craft Cocktail example from last year… we are offering again this year!
THE PICASSO GIN & TONIC:
COCKTAIL INSPIRATION:
Playing on the theme of this Spanish artist, Picasso, and his Cubist style of painting, the ice cubes in this cocktail were a key component. Two flavored cubes featured bloomed saffron (a quintessential ingredient in Spanish cooking) and Cucumber Water. As the drink melted more of those flavors came through in the drink. The bright colors in the painting were represented with the slices of orange, yellow-lemon, and green-lime which also highlighted bright citrus flavors that always pair well with gin. The blue color in the painting, as well as the bend/angle of the arm and shoulder of the person, was represented by a blue bendy straw. Last but not least…was the sprig of rosemary that represented the little green prickly shapes on the head/hat in the painting.
