WHAT IS DUAL VISION?
Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes – A collaboration between local Artists and Photographers. Artists create original artwork from the inspiration of a selected photograph.
Since 2017, The Artisans Village Guild has collaborated with the local photo club, now known as Lake Country Photography Club, for this event. The photographers bring stunning photographs to the May Guild meeting, and member artists can select 1 or 2 photos. The artists then have several months to create art inspired by those photographs in any medium or style of their choosing. In September the art is beatifully displayed next to the photograph for a stunning side-by-side show of amazing photos & creative, one-0f-a-kind works of art. Both the photographs and art are for sale.

What Can you Create?
All mediums are encouraged: painting, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, mosaics, textiles, gourds, weaving, etc… You create whatever the photograph inspires in you. If you are a painter, you are not obligated to recreate the photo, although you are welcome to do that, too! Rules and Guidelines for Artists coming soon.
If you are a photographer in the Guild, have not contributed photos already through membership in the photo club, and want to participate, please plan to bring photos for Guild members to consider. Remember, if a photo is selected, the Guild member will take it with them in May, and you will be responsible for providing an 8×10 matted print of the photo for the reveal, show, and exhibition. Rules and Guidelines for Photographers coming soon.
