Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes

Photo Selection was on Friday, May 9 at The Artisans Village’s beautiful, historic Livery Studio. September 12 will be the The Big Reveal of Photos and Artwork at Barrel 118 in downtown Eatonton and on Thursday, September 18 be sure to attend the opening reception also at Barrel 118. If you have chosen a photo(s) for participation in the show, you will have received a confirmation email with all the pertinent event dates and information. 2025 MONTHLY GUILD MEETINGS:

Monthly Guild Meetings take place the second Friday of each month at The Peoples Bank – Lake Oconee Branch at 10:00 AM.  Non-Members are welcome to attend to get a feel for the group. The meetings include a social time starting at 9:30 a.m. and again after the meeting to meet new art friends.

2025 MONTHLY PLEIN AIR  PAINTING LOCATIONS: 

The Guild coordinates a location each month to get outdoors and paint. There is no need to sign up, you are outside, spread out and the outings are free. We gather at pre-announced places on the 4th Wednesday of each month. In general, we start around 9:00 a.m. depending on weather conditions. You are welcome to show up whenever you want and leave whenever you want.

March 26 — Plaza Arts Center
April 23 — Historic Eatonton Home and Gardens
May 28 — Historic Reid-Greene-Lawrence-Sichveland-Air House and Gardens, Eatonton
June 25  — Historic Hendricks Farm, Gray GA
July 23 — Cancelled – TOO HOT! 
August 27  —  Linger Longer Pavilion
September 24  —  Historic Slade Hall and Gardens, Eatonton
October 29 — Note, this is the 5th Wednesday  —  Carhan Farm

The first monthly Plein Air outing each year begins in March.  An email goes out about a week before with each month’s location.  If you’ve never painted “en plein air”, now is your chance to give it a try!

Eatonton One Day Paint Out & Plein Air Workshops

9th Annual Eatonton One Day Paint out – SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2025

The Artisans Village Guild hosted its ninth annual Eatonton One Day Paint Out on Saturday, May 3, from 1:00 to 5:00.  Thank you to all the artists that came out to paint in and around our scenic downtown Eatonton, Georgia.  Many of the artwork created that day are available at the Gallery now!   CLICK HERE for photos from the 2025 event.  (Below) The 2025 Paint Out Group Photo!

9th Annual Lake Country Juried Arts Show

Presented by The Artisans Village Guild

We are always honored to showcase the amazing range of talent from our Lake Country artists.  Application and Prospectus for the 2025 Lake Country Juried Art Show is now closed.  Deadline to submit applications was May 1, 2025.  The opening reception was held on June 19 at Barrel 118. Thanks to everyone who join us for the 9th Annual Lake Country Juried Art Show!

At the beginning of 2021, Guild Vice President Debbie Payne asked that members “show their stuff” by submitting artwork to be included in another virtual slideshow. Nearly thirty of our members responded and have shown some fabulous stuff!! Thank you for your participation. Because we could not have our usual December Share and Tell at our monthly Guild meeting, we encouraged our Guild members to share photos of artwork they created during the pandemic (though not limited to a pandemic theme). Twenty-eight members posted or sent photos, often several.
