Visual artists are diligently working on bringing the authors’ words to life for the Paint Between the Lines exhibit, the exciting new collaboration between Georgia Writers Museum and The Artisans Village. We hope to have as many artists and writers as possible at our three main events in conjunction with the exhibit. Please scroll down and complete the RSVP form. 

• Thursday, August 6, Opening Reception at The Artisans Village  |   5-7:30pm

• Friday, August 14, “Read & Reveal” at Georgia Writers Museum  |   6:30-8:00pm

• Saturday, September 19, “Read & Reveal” at Barrel 118   |  6:30-8:00pm

“Read & Reveal” Events:

We will be looking for authors and artists to participate in the two “Read & Reveal” events happening at Georgia Writers Museum and at Barrel 118.  The “Read & Reveal” events are a chance for the Authors to get up in front of an audience and read their submission to Paint Between the Lines.  The Artists will then “reveal” their artwork inspired by the submission(s) they selected.  We will ask Artists to take just a minute or two to “reveal” the artwork after the reading and give a short summary of what inspired you, why you selected what you did, and/or your creative process.  Please also let us know on the form if you’d be interested in participating.

We will be selecting the author/artist teams based on availability, as well as variety of writing genre and artistic style.

Hopefully, you’ve had fun working on this fun new collaboration with Georgia Writers Museum!  It’s time for us to begin prepping for the show, and we need your details! Art drop-off:

Art drop off for this event is during Gallery hours on July 29, 30, 31, and August 1st.  Wednesday – Friday hours are 11 – 5 pm, and Saturday is 10 – 3 pm.

Wine Donations: We are asking participating artists to please bring a bottle of wine to share.  If you can bring this during art drop-off it will help support the opening reception with complimentary wine for our guests.
