THE TRAIL BEGINS!

The first sculpture was successfully placed on Wednesday, July 17.  “Rival Readers” by artist Gregory Johnson was installed between The Georgia Writers Museum and Sylvia’s Coffee Shop.  Be sure to stop and take a closer look at the playful sculpture the next time you’re in town!

The Second sculpture was installed on Wednesday, September 11. “Spirit Bear” by artist Martha Pettigrew, from Lincoln, Nebraska was placed by Farmers & Merchants bank off of West Marion Street.

After the sculptures are all installed you’ll have a chance to vote for People’s Choice.

VOTE FOR PEOPLE’S CHOICE!

Voting details coming soon!  The public is invited and encouraged to vote for their favorite sculpture.  The sculpture that receives the most votes is honored with the “People’s Choice Award,” and is purchased to become a permanent part of the Sculpture collection.   Paper ballets will be available as well as online voting.
