Retro Apron – Sewing Class

Detailed Description: If you’ve been looking at the sewing machine you got years ago and wishing you knew more about how to use it….this class is for you! Learn more about how to use basic functions of your sewing machine. Lu Feldman is a very talented seamstress and has been sewing for years. She even made her own prom dress at the young age of 17! She reaches perfection with every piece she makes. This class will teach you how to sew from a traditional pattern. You’ll leave with a completed Retro Apron design ready to wear.
TOTAL COST $50
Supplies for Students to bring:
- 2 1/2 yards of fabric (45” – 60″ wide) Suggested fabric – cotton, cotton blends, chintz, gingham, denim, canvas, polished cotton, calico. *Please pre-wash fabric prior to class.
- thread to match the fabric color
- 4 yards of lace or your preferred trim (must be 3/4” wide or wider)
- Straight pins
- Scissors (for cutting material)
- Each student is asked to bring their own sewing machine*** If you don’t have your own machine we can provide a machine. The sewing machines are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.*** Please call the gallery today to reserve your machine.
