About The Artisans Village

INSPIRED ARTISTS – AMAZING ART

The Artisans Village, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization was created in 2015 to advance the visual arts to strengthen the economy and enhance the quality of life in Lake Country. The Artisans Village operates a non-profit art gallery designed to provide an affordable outlet for area artists to market their work and is working to create an active artisans’ community.

The Artisans Village has recently renovated the historic building on E. Marion Street to be a working studio for artisans of all kinds. For a reduced cost of studio space, we hope to encourage artists to demonstrate their skills for tourists to view. More tourism means a stronger economy and a stronger economy encourages other businesses to locate in Lake Country–to the benefit of all of us who live here and those who visit the area.

The Artisans Village Organization is comprised of three main pieces.

  • GALLERY – THE ARTISANS VILLAGE ART GALLERY has been operational since April 2017. This amazing gallery, featuring mainly local artists of incredible talent, is located across from the courthouse in downtown Eatonton. ADDRESS: 110 W Marion St, Eatonton GA 31024.  Please send all mail/donations to PO Box 3429 Eatonton, GA 31024
    PHONE: 706-623-7767
    HOURS: Wednesday – Friday:  11 am – 5 pm, and Saturday 10 am – 3 pm
  • GUILD – THE ARTISANS VILLAGE GUILD is a group of over 160+ artists from the Lake Country and beyond who meet on a regular basis. The Guild frequently organizes special events that are typically hosted at the Gallery.
  • STUDIO – THE LIVERY  STUDIO. The Artisans Village acquired a wonderful turn-of-the-century Livery Stables building in downtown Eatonton in 2016. Work is almost complete on the renovation so that it can be used as artists’ studio space with live demonstrations.
