Beginning Sewing Class – The Basics

Detailed Description:

Want to learn the basics of sewing from a professional?  Join this class and all the basics of the sewing machine will be taught. IF you don’t have a sewing machine don’t let that stop you.  We have a few machines that can be used the day of the class. To use one of the loaner machines please call the gallery to reserve 706-623-7757. First come first receive. Please join us as we make one of these cute aprons. You will leave the class with your apron and lots of sewing wisdom.

Pattern
Pins
Needle threader
thimbles

Supplies for students to bring:

• Sewing machine and owners manual.
• Material of your choice 2.5 to 3 yards.  Suggested fabric – cotton, cotton blends, chintz, gingham, denim, canvas, polished cotton, calico.  *Please pre-wash fabric prior to class.
• Thread that matches the material.
• 4 yards of lace or your preferred trim (must be 3/4” wide or wider)
• Scissors – for cutting material
• Each student is asked to bring their own sewing machine*** If you don’t have your own machine we can provide a machine. The sewing machines are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.*** Please call the gallery today to reserve your machine.
